Hi,
I would like to buy some books in German (in Germany), but prefer the electronic format for ease of transport. Does anyone know a good way to do that?
The books are available in Kindle format on Amazon.de only, not Amazon.com. It appears I would need to change my Amazon country code to Germany in order to buy them. But this might impact my existing account.
Looking for a cheaper option than buying a Thalia e-reader.

I guess you can just buy books in German language also with your Amazon.com account. Or not?

I don't know why that would impact your Amazon account. I use Amazon USA, UK, and Germany. I just have to change my mailing address to match for things being delivered.

I've done the same as KGC. Usedmy Amazon.com account on the UK and DE versions. No problems.

And here. In fact, I can even get the German ebooks using Kindle Unlimited.
