I will be taking the bus from Prague to Nuremberg. According to DB Bahn, the bus arrives at Nurnberg hbf, Banhopfvorpl, Hauptausgang. I am picking up a car at Europcar, Nuremberg downtown office, Ulmenstr 48. Am I in the right place, is this where the bus drops me off? Or is Europcar somewhere else?
The bus arrives at the main train station. Ulmenstrasse 48 is a long way from there - close to a mile. I would contact your agent to see what provisions they might have for picking up the car at the main station instead.
That said, train transportation in Germany is excellent. You really should consider using the train there. If you're using trains in Italy, well, train travel is a whole lot better in just about every way in Germany. A daypass for travel to Bamberg, Rothenburg, and other nearby cities costs only €18 for two - buy the Tagesticket Plus at a ticket machine in Nuremberg.
"Banhopfvorpl, Hauptausgang"
Did you get off the "home row"? That's Bahnhofsvorplatz, Hauptausgang - that's "the place in front of the station, main exit".
Russ, Thank you. I will contact them later today. The only reason for getting a car is that my husband wants to drive in Germany (guy thing)? We are only taking it to Rothenburg, then dropping it off in Munich, and will use trains for the rest of the trip.
