WE are taking the Viking River Cruise in December to the Christmas Markets along the Danube and need one night in Nuremberg. Looking for suggestions for a small, boutique hotel - in town near most sights. Thanks!

We were in Nuremberg last May and stayed at Hotel Elch. We loved it. The main floor is very old and historic but our room was comfortable, large, and modern. The hotel is located by the Imperial Castle and about 3 blocks from the market. The staff were more than accommodating. I would consider this hotel one of our vacation's unexpected surprises. We will definitely stay there again. Enjoy Nuremberg, there is much to see!
