Hello.
My wife and I have purchased Benelux-German railpasses.
We wish to reserve a couple of sleeper trains thru the German DB (rail) website.
I took a look at the process and cannot seem to find where they ask for your pass number. I assume they need this to quote you the supplement price for railpass holders.
Thanks.
Just go through the process like you were buying a normal ticket, when you get to the page to select your sleeping compartment, click on the words in the lower right hand of the page "Book only extra charges". The next page will be "Select available tickets", and you will click on the third box "Pass offer (Interail, Eurail, or other pass)". Next page will give you the passholder prices. Make your selection and continue with payment. Print out the ticket, then show it and your pass and the credit card you used to buy the ticket when you board the train.
Thanks, Sam.
I have never seen where you can book a night train with a pass online on the bahn.de site
