We will be staying in Gengenbach at a hotel (Pfeffermuhle) that offers the Konus card. I have read in this forum that this konus card can be used for the train system in the black forest. Can someone direct me to the train schedule for this BF train system ?
We want to go from Gengenbach to Freiburg.

Schedule is as with all German trains. Be sure to select "local transport only"

For Gengenbach to Freiburg, if time isn't too big an issue, I would go from Gengenbach to Hausach and up the Gutach to Triberg. That section (Hausach to Triberg is called the Schwarzwaldbahn or Black Forest Railway). Then continue on from Triberg to Donaueschingen (change trains) and pick up the rail line via Titisee to Freiburg. That will take about 3 hours vs 1 hour via Offenburg and up the Rhein, but is far more scenic.
