We will be staying in Gengenbach at a hotel (Pfeffermuhle) that offers the Konus card. I have read in this forum that this konus card can be used for the train system in the black forest. Can someone direct me to the train schedule for this BF train system ?
We want to go from Gengenbach to Freiburg.

Schedule is as with all German trains. Be sure to select "local transport only"

It's not just the trains, also includes the local and regional buses and the Freiburg trams
Offenburg region transport network (but Konus does not cross the river to Strasbourg)

Bear in mind the problems between BadenBaden and Rastatt (railway has fallen into a large hole). Trains between Offenburg and Freiburg are running as normal but there may be the odd short delay if they have to wait for a delayed replacement bus. The DB journey planner (already linked) has the latest plan built in and is the most accurate source of info.
latest news is that the BadenBaden - Rastatt railway line will be closed until October 7, special buses shuttling round the damage
For Gengenbach to Freiburg, if time isn't too big an issue, I would go from Gengenbach to Hausach and up the Gutach to Triberg. That section (Hausach to Triberg is called the Schwarzwaldbahn or Black Forest Railway). Then continue on from Triberg to Donaueschingen (change trains) and pick up the rail line via Titisee to Freiburg. That will take about 3 hours vs 1 hour via Offenburg and up the Rhein, but is far more scenic.
