Birchys Berlin Tours

Having been snoozed-you-loozed out of every single RS tour in 2024, I am putting together my own itinerary. Has anybody here toured Berlin with Birchys? I can't find any previous mention of them on the RS forum. They certainly have good Google and Viator reviews. They do a private tour that seems quite expensive to me and a group tour that seems quite cheap. I started my search with a solo guide who was recommended here on the forum but he was unavailable. Thanks.

We were in Berlin prior to Covid on a self-directed visit - spoke virtually no German - found it quite easy to navigate public transportation to the various sites that we were interested in. The RS Berlin guidebook has a number of walks covering his recommended areas - we found that to be enough information. I can see that picking up a guide for a day or half day could be helpful if you have a specific interest, whether WWII, the Soviet period, etc.

I have never heard of this tour company and I am fairly familiar with the many tour companies operating.
Why not go with Insider Tours or Original walks? Both have outstanding reputations and are certainly better than doing an audio walk around such a huge city that is ever changing. A live guide can answer your questions and give some recommendations on food and museums and events.
