I just saw a YouTube video talking about the implementation of speedy biometric screening at MUC. The video said you register with the Star Alliance app.
Has anyone used it?
Do you have to be on a Star Alliance flight like Lufthansa to use it?
Is it just in Terminal 2, and if so can you enter through Terminal 2 and then proceed to a Terminal 1 flight?

No experience, but there is some information on the Munich Airport website https://www.munich-airport.com/touchless-travel-10097864
It looks like you probably need to be not only on a Star Alliance flight, but a member of Lufthansa or SWISS FF program. Also not clear as to whether it is restricted to EU member passport holders.
Paul, thanks for the link. I’ll be arriving and departing on Delta, so I guess I won’t be able to use it.
I don't think arrival and departure at Munich takes very long in any case. Unless you are looking at a v. tight connection, it should not a lengthy procedure - in my experience.
