bike rental @ Neuschwanstein Castle

Looking to ride the 20-mile trail around Lake Forggensee after touring Neuschwanstein Castle. I see in the RS Germany guide that bike rentals are available in Fussen (2-miles, one-way from Fussen to Castle), but wondered if adding an extra 4-miles would be tiring! Are there bike rental options around lake or near the castle?

My pal Gretchen makes these suggestions:

There's one bike rental place right on the Forggensee: http://radlerhof.com/fahrradservice-und-verleih/ and another nearby at http://www.alpen-bikes.de/. But I’m not sure how you'd get to either of those places without a car (maybe by bus). Füssen is roughly between the castles and the lake, so renting bikes at the castles wouldn't save much extra riding time.

Here are the clearest options:
1. Take the easy bus to the castle and back, then pick up rental bikes in Füssen and ride to/around Forggensee and back to Füssen (probably what I would do).
2. Rent bikes in Füssen, ride out to castles (instead of bus)—beautiful, fast, flat ride—then head due north to Forggensee (more riding but fun).
3. Take the easy bus to the castle and back, then bus/drive from Füssen to one of the bike rental places on Forggensee (least amount of riding, but not worth the hassle given how close the lake is to Füssen by bike)

In case it’s helpful: http://www.fuessen.de/en/outdoor-and-sports/lake-forggensee.html plus more info in German.

According to the Bahn website, which gives directions to specific addresses, the second place mentioned by Laura can be reached in 15 to 18 minutes from the Füssen Bahnhof with a 7 - 10 minute bus ride (#72) to Rieden, then an 8 minute walk.

The Bahn didn't give the walking distance to Forggenseestraße 1, only to Forggenseestraße 18 (18 min), but looking at Google Maps, it appears that it's about the same distance from the Rieden crossroad stop to either bike rental place. Forggenseestraße 1 is on the lake, half of the walking distance to Forggenseestraße 18.

But if you are going to do a 20 mile ride around the lake, are you really worried about an extra 4 miles to/from the lake?

I was thinking exactly what Lee was. The ride to/from Fussen is probably the easiest part. If you are really worried, you can rent electric bikes in Fussen.
