Does anyone have some information about renting bikes in Bacharach? I searched the Forum archive and it seems like all postings were old.
I'm thinking of riding from Bacharach to St Goar and maybe a little south too.
Thanks.
Tom

No info about Bacharach. We stayed in Boppard and rented bikes and rode down to St Goar. Flat all the way. Could be wind. We used e bikes. It was something to do, but not as good as riding regular bikes around the Forrgensee near Fussen. That was beautiful.
Tom I've rented in Koblenz, bike on train to Bingen, rode back to Koblenz. It was long but a nice ride.
You are smart to do the best section of that ride. If you can, try to starting Bacharach, ride to Boppard and take the train back (or some similar version). I'm sure renting bikes at either end is normal and convenient.
If you Google search, "hire" tends to get more results than "rent" or *rental." Fahrradverleih if you want to take a stab at German language search terms.
I found this place https://www.rheinsteig.de/en/a-fahrradverleih-weber , but so far no useful information in either German or English.
Any bike rental in Bacharach should be easily found. The town's maybe 1/2 mile long.
Great place to spend a day or two. We love drinking beer at the Konisbacher Brewery north of there in Koblenz. And it's so peaceful watching the cruise ships go up and down the Rhine River there.
We ate at the Hotel Kranenturm with Kurt & Fatima while we were staying there. The trains often come by late at night and will wake you. Every bed & breakfast or hotel in this town is just fantastic.
You could email the tourist office there. They have been very useful and prompt when I have done so
