I am planning a biking trip in the Moselle Valley beginning in Thionville, France and ending in Koblenz, Germany. Do you have any recommendations of rental companies? We will need bikes, helmets, bike rack, etc.

By wanting a bike rack, I assume you are planning on renting a car. Just to let you know, you can take your bikes on the trains that run up and down the Mosel valley. There is also a bus service called the Regio-Radler that has a bike trailer with regular scheduled service throughout the valley. I think a good plan would be to rent a bike in Koblenz, then take the train to Thionville. There are trains connecting to Thionville from Koblenze at 10:06, 1:06 pm, 4:06 pm. The initial leg is a Regional Express to Luxembourg you can carry your bike on free. It connects to a TGV to Thionville where you will need a bike reservation. You could then start your trip down river. When you get to Koblenz, turn in the bike and you are ready to move on.

I don’t know of any bike hire companies myself but if you look at this site - http://www.myeuropebase.net/cycling.html & scroll to the bottom of the page there are lots of web addresses for cycling, one of them may be able to help you.
PS: it’s a very nice place to stay too.
