My husband and I are in the beginning stages of planning a late Spring/Early summer trip to Europe. We are intrigued by the idea of including one of the cycling trips on the Danube where you sleep and travel by ship or barge at night. My research has turned up several companies that offer these tours. I wondered if anyone has personal experience with this trip and might be able to make a recommendation. I do a lot of cycling at home (Portland) and my husband does a little. On our first trip to Europe in 2014 we did a one day ride on the Rhine and used bikes as our exclusive transportation in Amsterdam and Copenhagen. We love seeing new places from the saddle of our bikes.
