Biergarten - Black Forest region

Hello! We are visiting the Black Forest in July, and my 16 year old son is very much looking forward to having his first beer at a biergarten. (At least, I hope it's his first, haha.) Can anyone a biergarten in the central or southern regions of the Black Forest? Looking for a great outdoor atmosphere, families, good food and of course, good bier! Thanks.

The biergarten at Brauerei Feierling in Freiburg im Breisgau was wonderful. The afternoon we were there included a concert by a 30-member brass band that had been around since 1866 (the band, not the members!) Great food (basic sausages, pretzels, salads) and beer.

The Rothaus Brewery in Grafenhausen (Southern BF) has an outdoor venue and offers tours:

Nearby: Schluchsee and Titisee (lakes) with lots of hiking options. The Wutach Gorge is popular with hikers as well. I had a nice stay in nearby Loeffingen several years ago.

Came here to also suggest Feierling’s. It’s not a “Biergarten” as much as it’s a brewery w a great outdoor space. And they do (or at least they used to do) some American-style ales if you’re homesick.
