Bicycle the Romantic Road?

Researching bicycle trips across Europe, I see there are a few companies specializing in the Romantic Road (Würzburg to Füssen). Has anyone here experienced riding that route and/or have company recommendations?

I love the Romantic Road. We lived in Augsburg for four years and did it more than once.
Not on a bike.

However, some years ago, I was an avid long distance cyclist and have done the Bike Ride Across Georgia 8 times as well as similar rides in Virginia, NC, and Florida. Doing 70 miles a day was no problem.

My only concern would be the roads. I doubt if there is a dedicated bike trail. Still, it could be done. Heading down south would be some serious uphills toward Fussen, so I would suggest doing it from Fussen to Wurzburg.

Germany National Cyclist Association

There are bike routes throughout Germany. The ADFC will have maps and descriptions available.

I cycled a lot in Germany in the 1980's before I was aware of the ADFC. Safe routes are a real issue. There are bike paths but you have to know where they are. I rode mostly north of Bremerhaven. They were just laying in a route across northern Germany while I was there.

No company knowledge but at my last visit to the German Embassy they had a booth for the German tourism board https://www.germany.travel/en/home along with VR glasses showing cycling in the Black Forest and other countryside. You can look on the website under cycling holidays. Lots of choices as it’s a popular activity in Germany.
