Best way to travel from Paris to Landsberg Germany

We will be traveling from Paris to Landsberg, spending 2 days in Landsberg and then the 3rd day flying back to the US from Munich. I am looking at taking a train to Landsberg and then rent a car and return it in Munich Airport.

But if I take a train, to Landsberg were does the train take me to and are there car rental companies right there?

Thanks for your assistance,
Sharon Thetford

Assuming that you want to go to Landsberg am Lech: take a TGV or ICE to Mannheim or Stuttgart, from there to Augsburg and finally a local train to Landsberg (the station is at the edge of the center, just across the river Lech). Look up details at www.bahn.com. There is a Europcar and a Buchbinder car rental in Landsberg but both are far from the center. I'd consider taking the train to MUC instead (at least one connection per hour): take the small shuttle from Landsberg up to Kaufering (6 min or so) and transfer to the train to Munich. Transfer to the S8 to the airport in Pasing or to the S1 or S8 at the main station (S1 will not operate for some weeks in summer).

Sharon, there are two Landsberg's in Germany:
Landsberg, Saxony-Anhalt
Landsberg am Lech, Bavaria
Since you are talking about Munich, I guess you mean the one in Bavaria. This be important if you start looking up things online.

I went to the DB website ( https://www.bahn.com/en/view/index.shtml ) and looked up Paris to Landsberg(Lech). This will take 6½ to 7 hours and require multiple trains.
If you look at a map (for example here: https://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=16/48.0485/10.8712 ) you can see Landsberg(Lech) station is in the centre of the town.
If you do a google search "autovermietung Landsberg Lech", it comes up with a number of local firms, plus a branch or Europcar: https://www.europcar.de/standorte/deutschland/landsberg/landsberg
I can't see any at the station, so this will need a taxi.
