We are plan a trip to Germany from September 22 until October 3.. We are flying into Frankfurt, staying in Mainz the first night. then touring until October 2, we end in Munich.. What is the most efficient and most
economical for transfers from Frankfurt airport to Mainz? And from a downtown hotel in Munich to the airport?

In both cases the answer is by train.

Munich: S1 or S8, the first running clockwise the second counterclockwise around the center from the main station and the Marienplatz. Use an Airport-City-Day Ticket.
