Best Berlin Pass for a 7 day stay and best local transportation pass

I will be in Berlin for 7 days and would like recommendations for the best Berlin Pass and local transportation options including TXL airport. Staying near the Berlin Intercontinental so expect to use the 100 and 200 buses. Likely have 3-5 days of site seeing.

Here is the website for Berlin - Brandenburg transportation - http://www.vbb.de/en/index.html We bought weekly passes on our visit last year , very convenient . While , I don't generally bother with restaurant recommendations , this place just across the street ( Budapester Strasse ) was a winner - https://www.google.com/maps/place/Ja+NIko+Ja/@52.5066068,13.3455727,18.5z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x47a851acada9cca3:0xea41267830d2507b!8m2!3d52.5064513!4d13.3459459 We stayed at The Pullman , just down the street

If you are staying seven days getting a transport pass will be better value for money than a "transport plus attractions" pass. Central Berlin and Tegel will be covered by a Zone AB pass - you'll need to add Zone C if you want to go out to Potsdam.

If you plan to visit a lot of museums, the three-day Berlin Museums Pass is very good value - it covers entry to most museums in the city (those run by the city council - the most significant one not included is the German Historical Museum) but does not include any transportation.
