We will be in Europe in middle of May and will be in Munich for a few days. What area of the city should I look for hotels and/or Airbnb's that will allow us to experience the city by foot in the nest way. I have a ton of hotel points with major brands we can use, but it would be nice to stay at an airbnb in some places so as to have kitchen and laundry access. Thanks.

There are vacation apts. you can rent or hotels with laundry facilities that will be better than contributing to the horrible mess Airbnb is making in cities all over the world. Pay attention to what Mark says.

I've stayed in a Derag property once (The Deutsches Museum location):

It was decent with a kitchenette and they seem to have been updated since I've been there.
