We are traveling to Berlin this Fall and are interested in a River Spree Boat Tour. We would prefer a fairly short cruise as an introduction to Berlin from the River. We are not interested in a lunch/dinner cruise. Suggestions?
We just took the first one we happened on that was departing in the next half hour. Sunny day, tasty Berliner beer, good narration in English and German, took about 1 hour. I don't think it pays to overthink this one.
By the Friedrichsbruecke on the island side.
I suggest to choose one from left or right the Weidendammer Brücke (bridge Friedrichstrasse). Two providers have stops there.
Hi there, did you end up doing a tour, and did you like it? We are in Berlin now and were going to do the 4-hour walking tour which I know is incredible, however we are also quite tired after several days of walking, including Sachsenhausen today. We only have one day left and have not yet seen the main sights such as Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag, etc. Will a boat tour go past any of these main attractions?
You will not see Brandenburg Gate from a boat tour. Boats will pass by the north side of Reichstag (front is to the west) but normally people enjoy more visiting the dome.
Suggest to visit these two sights by walking and joining a boat tour after that. Another tip are rickshaw tours or just use them from A to B. You can also use e-scooters but be very aware of rules e.g. no driving on sidewalks and in pedestrian zones. Police will fine directly (link opens pdf flyer from Berlin Police).
