Berlin, Prague and others?

Hi All

We are a family of 4 with 2 teenagers traveling to Berlin and flying back from Prague. We are landing in Berlin on 19th Aug mid day and leaving Prague on Aug 28 morning so we have total of 9 days excluding the travel days. Thinking of
1) berlin 3 days
2) Dresden 2 days
3) Prague 3 days

Should we add anything other than Dresden or chose Vienna over Dresden?
this is our first time in Europe so not sure

Thanks
Ritu

I don't know how you arr counting hour days.

1 arrive Berlin mid day, jet lagged
2 Berlin
3 Berlin
4 train to Dresden, half day left for Dresden
5 Dresden
6 train to Prague, half day left
7 Prague
I Prague
9 depart

If I guessed wrong, it's a fast tour. That's okay as long as that is what you want. But I would split tge Dresden time between Berlin and Prague and forget Dresden this trip.

How many nights are you sleeping in Europe and what month are you going?
If you explore Berlin’s neighborhoods you want five nights. The month of June gets a ton of rain that does not let up making it a day spent indoors. Berlin is a great city for young people and I’m sure your boys will love it.
Four nights is best in Prague so I wouldn’t add Vienna which is an outlier. If you decide to get off the train when it stops in Dresden that would be the smarter choice if adding a third city.

Just add Dresden. Travel time to / from Vienna would be too high.

With given setup I recommend 4 nights in Berlin. A lot to see and explore in Berlin with teenagers.

Reality-wise accept the first 1.5 days for jetlag recovery - eastbound is harder than westbound.
