I'm traveling to berlin next Monday and staying there till Wednesday morning with my friend. On Monday morning, I'm arriving at the central bus station. My Airbnb is located close S+U-Bahn station in Lichtenberg. Planning to buy a 48 hour pass berlin welcome card when I arrive at the bus station. Some of the places I'm planning to visit are Brandenburg gate, Berlin wall memorial, holocaust. Any other places suggested to be visited ?
Strongly suggest you do a good walking tour of Berlin and this will show you some of the highlights on your list. My recommendation is Insider Tours as have had very good luck with them on 5 visits to Berlin with a different tour each time.

After that, it depends on your interests. The Olympic Stadium, Track 17, Graffiti, a cruise on the Spree, any one of dozens of museums, the Tiergarten?

Important tip: use BVG journey planner for checking best local public transport connection - a lot of construction areas and some closings currently. Station Lichtenberg is currently not connected by S-Bahn (until mid November) - buses or U-Bahn are replacing.
I got some very helpful suggestions at the above post, although our family’s interests may differ than yours.
Thank you guys for all your suggestions. Had a great time in berlin and visited almost all the places you guys suggested. This forum is the best.

You can also download the RS Berlin Walking Tour among other Berlin tours from his Audio Europe App. They give a broad overview that you can listen to on your smart phone or tablet on the way there (there is a map included), and the Tour gives guideposts on where things are as well as what to see.
Nick, they already went to Berlin and are back home.
