My long away Germany trip is next month and unfortunately the opera I wanted to see at the Berlin Philharmonic is sold out. Just wondering if they ever sell day of tickets for these or am I simply out of luck.
You can always try showing up at the box office an hour or so before the performance and see if anyone turns in tickets they can't use. I did that once at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and scored tickets for a sold-out concert.
Heather, Sam's idea is good. I did see this on the Philharmonic website as well:
Tip for online sales: due to high demand, concerts can sell out quickly. Try your luck again at a later point in time, when all requests have been completely processed. Some tickets may go back on sale in the afternoon. However, tickets already purchased cannot be exchanged or refunded.
Thanks all. I might try my luck when I get there.
