Berlin neighborhood lodging questions

Hi All
We will have 7 nights in Berlin. I have my apartment choices down to 5. Trying to figure out which will provide the best location. Three are actually on the same street. The interiors of each and price meets our needs. I just am not sure about location. Can you please offer some opinions?

Three are located in Mitte-Moabitt on Stephanstrasse between Perleberger and Rothenower.
One is located in Charlottenburg-Willmersdorf on Sophie-Charlotten-Strasse right off Kaiserdamm.
One is located in Mitte but exact location is not in the listing. 5 minute walk to Buesselstrasse S Bahn station.

Thoughts?

The first and last are in the Moabit area of north-eastern Berlin, within the central area and fairly close to the railway Ring that acts as its rough boundary. The area is very little frequented by tourists but I don't know what it's like socially. It's a long way from any sights.

The second is a little way west of Charlottenburg Palace, in an area that isn't the really posh bit of Charlottenburg but is fairly nice.

Hi,

At first glance I would choose the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf location, little far out in the west but it's nice middle class area. The lateral S-Bahn lines and Berlin-Charlottenburg train station gets you to the sights. Moabit is historically well known for its prison, was a working class quarter. I've been there only once, briefly in 1984, since it was part of West Berlin in the Cold War days.

Sorry, Moabit is north-west not north-east, I mistyped.

We are looking for a place for 5 people for Berlin in June and struggling to find affordable housing. How did you get your list of apartments as i would like to look into those. Thanks

I used Homeaway.com and homeaway.com/germany

I have used VRBO and Homeaway successfully for US and European locations for years. My requirements for a rental include good communication (they answer emails fast and well) and the listing has all positive reviews.

I also looked at AirBNB.com and Livelikeagerman.com but didn't really find anything I liked there. We ended up with a very nice apartment for a reasonable cost (for Berlin) and certainly cheaper than a hotel for 5. https://www.homeaway.com/vacation-rental/p534176

Andreas, thanks for the heads up about Vacaleo. It looks pretty extensive for Germany. Another tool for me to waste time with travel planning.
