We're going to be in Berlin this weekend and it looks like the museums, which are normally closed on Mondays, will be open on May 1 (per their ticket website)
This gives us one additional day to see museums than we'd anticipated!

A gift from the travel gods! This might mean the museums will be closed on May 2, though; it works that way sometimes.

Even better. There is so much to do in Berlin, you need as much flexibility as possible to maximize your sightseeing time.

The more time, the better. Just spent 8 nights in Berlin and wish I had more. Spent two days on Museum Island and my favorite was the Alte Nationalgalerie (I’m probably in the minority as to which museums is best but Adolph Menzel was impressive).
