Berlin Markets in Off season

I will be in Berlin the last weekend in February and the first week of March. I have found information on a number of markets, both outdoor and indoor, as I love to wander them.

Question is that the time period is certainly "off-season", if not downright cold, so are the markets still well attended? Plenty still to look at?

I am planning on hitting the one on Straße des 17.Juni in Charlottenburg, and the one near Mauerpark. Any others you might recommend for "flea market" type stuff, basic antiques, crafts, arts, food, etc?

Hi,

If you're in Berlin on Sunday, 1 March, I suggest the outdoor street "fair" near the Bode Museum. This one is held only on Sundays. The very end of the "fair" is a book sale on military/war history focusing almost exclusively on WW 2 both secondary sources and some primary sources, such as memoirs, division histories, etc, a pretty big selection of esoteric stuff. I've been to it twice.

I was just in Berlin and went to the flea market at Arkonaplatz, which is just a few blocks away from the one in the Mauerpark (on the other side of Bernauer Strasse): http://www.troedelmarkt-arkonaplatz.de/index.html. I preferred the one at Arkonaplatz because it was smaller, less touristy, and had a more interesting variety of items. I thought the quality was better than Mauerpark, too.

I also visited Markthalle Neun, an indoor food market in Kreuzberg: http://markthalleneun.de/.

On a previous visit I went to the flea market at Boxhagener Platz in Friedrichshain: http://www.berlin.de/en/shopping/markets-and-flea-markets/1998240-2983302-fleamarket-at-boxhagener-platz-.en.html. Like Arkonaplatz, it's smaller, and Friedrichshain is a fun area to walk around in. Good Sunday brunch options as well.
