My wife & are visiting Berlin for several days in the spring; interested in boutique type, conveniently located, mid-priced (if possible) lodging. Grateful for any suggestions...Also visiting Prague & Budapest with the same request.

We enjoyed staying at Indigo in Berlin and Hotel Maximiilian in Prague. Great breakfast and service.

I can't help with boutique accommodation; my last stay was in a big, business-oriented place that was remarkably economical for a European capital. However, I suggest you keep in mind how spread-out Berlin is. Having quick access to a U-bahn or S-bahn transit station will make your touring much easier.
