Berlin hotels/breakfast options

I would love updated opinions please. Does anyone have a favorite hotel in Berlin that is within easy walking distance to a U or S stop, that has twin rooms where the bed is separated (my husband and FIL will be sharing a room)? Having breakfast included, that has both hot and cold options, would be a great bonus. We would love for it to be under 125euros per night if possible.

Can you also recommend restaurants to get a breakfast that is more than croissants, something hot?

Thank you!

We have stayed twice at Hotel Pension Columbus am Kurfürstendamm, near the Berlin Zoo station and bus #100 to museums -- fantastic breakfasts with homemade yogurt and baked goodies, boiled-to-order eggs -- great hosts. We booked the bath-down-the-hall option for about €75/night.

Staid at Pension Peters a few years ago. Under 100 EUR per night with breakfast, 2 blocks from the Savignyplatz S-Bahn station. Better, though, was the bus just outside the door on Kantstrasse to the Zoo Bahnhof and the 100 Bus to Reichstag, Unter den Linden to Alexanderplatz. Good breakfast and super-helpful proprietor (Euwe). Oh, and there is an all-night breakfast spot 2 doors down the street.

BTW, "Eier" are eggs.

Although I didn't stay there, I walked through the Savignyplatz area several times during my 2015 visit to Berlin. I liked it a lot, not least for the wide variety of ethnic cuisines available. Most of the other customers seemed to be locals.
