Any recommendations for Berlin hostels or ones to avoid?

I recently stayed for five nights at the Meininger at the Berlin HBF. I have stayed in a number of hostels and this one was average. So, nothing special and no issues. Common area was busy, room was quiet. Had a 4-bed mixed dorm. All males (me too) while there, no issues with roommates.
Location is excellent. Just outside the HBF, so lots of access to transport and food.
