I'll be traveling to Berlin in October. And I was looking for a Berlin, Germany hotel that offers tours of the city. Anybody know of one? Thank you.
There is no reason for a hotel to offer tours when dozens of companies offer all kinds of themed and historical daily tours at bargain prices.
I have gone on 5 different tours with Insider Tours and found them to be excellent. A 4 hour tour for 12€ is hard to beat. So far have done their Famous Walk, 3rd Reich, Sachsenhausen, Potsdam, & Dresden Tours. Still hoping to do a Cold War tour the next time I am there.
For listings of all the different tour companies operating in Berlin, look on Trip Adviser. There are Alternative Tours, Underground Tours, Stasi Tours, Trabi Tours, Segway, etc.
Michael,
I would highly recommend Original Berlin Walks for tours of the city. Their Guides are exceptional and know the history well. They have meeting points in both the western and eastern parts of the city, so should be convenient to where ever you're staying.
