I will be traveling to Berlin and surroundings the first week of October. I know that Octoberfest is in Bavaria, I just want to make sure the crowds would not be increased in Berlin during that time. I really have no interest in Octoberfest, and am hoping that besides some extra "pub" activity, my sightseeing won't be affected.
