Hotel Gasthof Nutzkaser is a great little inn with a million dollar view and a good restaurant but it’s above nearby Ramsau so 10-15 minutes from Berchtesgaden

We really like Hotel Vierjahreszeiten, an historic hotel with great charm, right in the center of the village about a 10 minute walk from train station https://www.hotel-vierjahreszeiten-berchtesgaden.de/
Also Hotel Bavaria which is quite nice. Very near train station and overlooks the traffic round about in front. So a different setting. https://www.hotelbavaria.net/en/home-en/

Depends on what you want. If you just want a nice comfortable place, close to public transportation, at a great price, try Gästehaus Alpina. It's down on the Ramsauer Ache (creek) about a half km west of the Hbf, not in town (you'll have to walk less than a km up the path from the Hbf to town), Short walk to the bus station to all buses going to Königssee, Eagles Nest, etc. Nice breakfast, as I remember, great price.
