We are a group of 4 staying 30 minutes south of Salzburg in September. We want to drive to Berchtesgaden to visit the Eagle's Nest, the Documentation Center, and the SS Bunkers. Are all three in the same location? Or are they spread out?
I also read that we need to park at the Documentation Center and take a bus up to the Eagle's Nest. Can I pre-purchase tickets for the bus? I think the bus trip also includes entrance to Eagle's Nest. Does it also include entrance to the SS Bunkers and/or the Documentation Center?
All guidance and advice will be appreciated. Thanks everyone.
The Hintereck parking area at Obersalzberg provides parking for both the bus that goes to Eagle's Nest (known as the Kehlsteinhaus in German) and for the Documentation Center.
The ticket for the bus gets you to Eagle's Nest and includes entry into the building.
The entry to the bunkers is located inside the Documentation Center and is part of the ticket for the Documentation Center.

Edited for clarity.
It has been a while since we did Berchtesgaden, but we did it in one day.
The entrance to the bunkers is through (and part of) the Documentation Center. There are heaps and heaps of information, well-presented (also in English) and interesting, so how long it takes depends on your interest and stamina. I found the audio guide to be very good. The Documentation Center and the bus/visit to Eagle's Nest are separate entities, linked by a common parking lot.
I went up to the Eagle's Nest, had lunch, then came down and toured the Dok Center and the bunkers in one day, but it was a long one.
The main attraction in the Nest itself is the octagonal room at the end, with the Mussolini fireplace, where Hitler entertained dignitaries. Depending on if the view is unobstructed by clouds, you could spend some time admiring it. The Dok center has a ton of informative displays and can take you hours. The bunkers don't take that long to see.
