Bayern ticket

From my understanding in regards to the Bayern ticket, there is not a limited supply and the price doesn't change so there would be no reason to buy in advance. Is this correct? Also, if the train is full can you just stand?

I am going in August and don't want to miss this great deal. There are 3 of us traveling from Munich to Salzburg one day and then Munich to Fussen another day. Does this ticket include catching local buses to the Salt mines and Neuschwanstein Castle?

Thank you so much for your help!

There's no need to buy the Bayern ticket ahead, and since it covers regional trains, you won't need or get reservations. Yes, the worst-case scenario is standing for a while, if the train is crowded. I would not expect it to cover those local buses in Fuessen or in Austria. See the coverage map at http://www.bayern-fahrplan.de/auskunft-en/tripplanner and other info at http://www.bahn.com/i/view/DEU/en/prices/germany-regional/bavaria-ticket.shtml.

The Bayern-Ticket does not include buses in Austria.

It does include the bus from the Füssen Bahnhof to the bus stop Hohenschwangau, which is near the Neuschwanstein ticket kiosk. Many of the buses from Füssen to Hohenschwangau go on to Garmisch-Partenkirchen via Oberammergau. RVO (Regionalverkehr Oberbayern), a subsidiary of German Rail runs a network of buses in eastern upper Bavaria, and travel on all of those buses, except on streches that go outside of Bavaria, like RVO 840 between Salzburg and Berchtesgaden, or those on private or toll roads, are included in the Bayern-Ticket.
