Bayern Munich Tickets & Travel Itinerary

We are trying to complete a bucket list item for our son who has been a Bayern Munich fan for many years. We are hoping to attend the game currently listed as possibly March 20 or 21, 2026. as well, as tour Allianz Arena. (We understand that we can get there by train from Munich.) Any advice on how to obtain tickets from the United States would be appreciated.

Also, we are hoping to stay an additional 8 to 9 days before flying out of Frankfort. We are looking at an additional two days in Munich, a day trip to Neuschwanstein, a day or two-day trip to Salzburg, and then looking for recommendations after that. I'm wondering about Berchtesgaden or seeing Zugspitze, but am uncertain about visiting there with the weather in the last weeks of March. We love art, interested in WWII, and some relaxation with great food and drink. We are also open to hotels, bed and breakfasts, or whatever might be easiest for a party of three. Also, planning to use trains, but would be interested if renting a car at that time of year is recommended.
Thank you ahead of time for any recommendations!

Not easy to get Tickets for a match at the Allianz Arena
Most games are sold out early in advance

Perhaps you can contact them via e-mail and they make it possible for guests from the US

There are also VIP Ticket packages on sale

Its easier to get Tickets for the Arena Tour

Been to a match and got tickets from a sponsor

We stayed in the Hotel Blauer Karpfen in Oberschleißheim a suburb of Munich and went to the Arena by bus to Garching Hochbrück and from there by Subway to Fröttmaning where the Arena is located in 45 min
Easy to go only one change from Schleissheim Bus to Subway at Hochbrück

We bought a City Tour card for Munich Helpful was this website for connections

Near the Hotel is Schleissheim Palace with a huge Park and nearby the Deutsches Museum Flugwerft (Aircraft Museum)

We had dinner at the Schlossgaststätte (Restaurant at the Palace )

There is also a Greek restaurant at the Hotel

I see the following ways to get FC Bayern tickets

1) Hospitality tickets
The expensive option are hospitality tickets. I don't have any experience with this, but you should expect to pay at least 200 euros or more per ticket. Uwe has already sent the link for these.
There are also organizers who bundle tickets with hotel rooms and sell them together. See https://fcbayern.com/en/tickets/info/ticket-brokers

2) Regular tickets
Regular tickets for Bundesliga games cost between €40 and €80, depending on the seat category.
To have a realistic chance of getting a ticket, you need to become a member of FC Bayern or know someone who is a member of FC Bayern.

The annual membership fee is €50 for adults and €20 for children and young people up to the age of 17.

As a member, you can submit ticket requests. The tickets are then raffled off among the applicants (or allocated by an algorithm).
If you don't get a ticket, there is still the FC Bayern ticket market. Here, season ticket holders and others can resell tickets (at the original price plus a service fee). One or two weeks before the game, you have a realistic chance of getting one or more tickets there. However, it will be difficult to get two seats next to each other.

3) Tickets via 3rd party reseller.
These are not authorized by the club, so you can never be sure that you won't fall victim to a scammer.

I got tickets for myself and my husband through the FC Bayern website as I was advised to avoid 3rd party resellers. If you join as a member, you have access to their ticket exchange and can purchase tickets that way. I think the tickets ended up being £80 each for the match.
