My husband and I are looking for a hotel in Bamberg close to the Cathedral and historic district. We liked the Hotel Martin am Dom and have tried booking through their website but that doesn't seem possible. We contacted them through their website and they told us to send our credit card information through an email address which we won't be doing. Still waiting on their reply to that. Are there any places around that area that you would recommend? The Nepomuk looks wonderful but they are booked during part of the days we wished to stay.

If you really like them put the hotel name into Booking.com- I just did and it came up with room rates, free cancellation and no pre payment. It also has good reviews.

Yes I saw that in booking.com but it doesn't allow me to book the type of room we want.

Call them. That's the best way when you're wanting something special in the way of services.
