Baden Baden Hotel or B&B. Help

I will be staying in Strasbough, France for a few nights the first week of November. I am told the Xmas markets will be open which was a surprise and that this is prime season. So I am looking for somewhere where 3 of us can go that has good train access and thought about Baden Baden, Germany.

There are 3 of us and looking for a good value B&B or hotel around 130euro which may be tough since it's a "spa" city. Any suggestions would be very appreciated.

Or any other area easily accessible from Strasbough to visit? I know that many like Colmar and it seems like a quaint version of Strasbough.

The Black Forest of course. It's only a 30km train ride to the heart of it.. Though in November it's sure covered in fog but maybe you like it… somewhat mystical. And of course, there are some museums about local traditions of the mountainside, too. Pro: It's much different from Strasbourg.

Thank you Jill. is the Black Forest an area or town. Where would you stay and I think the fog would be magical in a train since I won't be driving?
