I need to get to the Frankfurt Airport from Bacharach by 2PM on a Friday in October. There are no trains(nor busses) earlier than 14:26 that will accomplish that. Does anyone know of another means of transit to get us to the airport that day? Thanks for the help.
NO TRAINS? Or you don't like the direct RE train at 11:35, arriving 12:35... or the other train options at 11:06 and 12:06 that require a change of train? Maybe you aren't aware of the DB itinerary search page...

Fares are not shown for this at DB because the local RMV transit authority sells them at the station in Bacharach for €12.35 p.p.
I would prefer to take the direct train so that a delay will not mean a missed connection.
Not sure where you are looking, but use the DB Bahn train site. Choose Bacharach Bahnhof and Frankfurt am Main Flughafen Fernbahnhof. Depending on the time chosen it will take 1-1.5 hours.
Thanks all. I was relying on Trainline and RometoRio, both of which showed only late afternoon trains to the airport. I was unable to access the bahn site all morning so gave up on it.
sf,
I've done that trip and it's very easy. There are several direct trains on that route every day, with a travel time of 59 minutes. Using an arbitrary date of 15 October, there's a departure at 11:36, arriving at 12:35 which should get you to the airport in time. Note that you'll be arriving at the Regionalbahnhof (there are two stations at the FRA airport).
You should be able to buy a ticket from Trainline.com or Bahn.de closer to your travel date.
You should be able to buy a ticket from Trainline.com ... closer to your travel date.
I'm not so sure. I looked up the schedule on Trainline for May 9, 2019 (less than a week from today), and it still shows the earliest connection as 14:24.
You gotta love Trainline. If they don't sell a ticket for a connection (and here it looks like they only sell tickets for long distance trains), they pretend they don't exist (there are plenty of regional connections - almost hourly). At least the Bahn shows that there are connections, even though they don't sell the tickets. And those of us who understand why the Bahn says "fares not available" know to look for a Verkehrsverbund that does sell them.
And in this case, it is the RMV, Rhein-Main Verkehrsverbund.

It has a journey planner that shows all the trains and the ticket cost. Tickets can bought from vending machines at the station, or with your smart phone with the RMV app. Regional trains are all unreserved and can't "sell out". If no seats, stand until one opens up.
