Bacharach hotels

I cannot find the hotel we've stayed at several times in Bacharach. It was family owned and a short walk down a pleasant path by a stream to the town and the dock. Does anyone have any recommendations for hotels in Bacharach?

Have you looked on google maps to jog your memory or see if it still exists?

It was the Im Meriwinkle…finally located it online. It was not listed on any major travel apps.

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Altkolnischer this past September for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. Delicious breakfast spread, comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Highly recommend a balcony room if you can. Was so great sitting out there enjoying wine each evening while overlooking the streets. Also recommend the hotel restaurant.

For a beautiful setting, you can't beat im Malerwinkel.

BTW, as a help in remembering the name, Maler is a painter, not like painting houses, but an artist, and Winkel means corner, hence "Painter's corner", a beautiful place (corner) to set up your easel to paint a picture.

john,

I spent a week at Hotel Kranenturm and quite enjoyed my stay. However I think it's under new management since then, so not sure what it's like now. Although it's right next to a rail line, I didn't really notice the noise (it has thick stone walls).
