We'll be staying in Aschaffenburg for 2 nights before boarding for a Bike & Barge trip. Would appreciate simple lodging suggestions, pedestrian friendly, accessible to dining and perhaps, a bit of energy!

Hotel Post is pretty straight forward -- not too expensive -- just a hotel with a good breakfast. Hotel Wildermann is a bit more quaint, and has an excellent restuarant.

We have stayed at the "Zum Goldenen Ochsen" a few times. Good breakfast and nice staff. Easy walk to the train station and the downtown.
