Hello. I just found where my great grandfather came from after searching for this for decades. Arlen Germany north of the German Swiss border in Konstanz District. Does anyone have any travel tips for this area? Hope to be there in May. Thank you!
Lake Constance is the major attraction there. You can find some tips on Konstanz tourist website. Some people like Rheinfall at Schaffhausen (CH) and Hohentwiel fortress ruins. Also Black Forest is not far away.
Only a few kilometers on the Swiss side of the border where the river Rhine leaves the Bodensee (Lake Constance) there is the beautiful little town of Stein am Rhein (Stein on the Rhine)
