We were told that the DB app will accept apple pay but want to know if anyone has had difficulties using it.

I don’t know for sure about the app but you can’t use Apple Pay to buy Deutschland Tickets.

As mentioned above, this applies to standard tickets, not to the Deutschlandticket.

Thanks, Andrea. We had decided against the Deutschland ticket as we are taking high speed trains and one between Germany and Switzerland.
