I have my 2020 Germany all planned out using trains. But, without going into too much depressing detail, I have a mobility issue that is going to make my normal traveling difficult. Walking between sites is going to be hard and I think we might see more if my walking is limited to moving around at the sites and not between them. For example, I've mapped out our Berlin days and there's a lot of walking. And I know I can use public transit, but even then, you end up with walking from the bus/tram stop to the site, around the site and then back to the transit stop.
There are cabs, I know. But back in March, we used a private driver for 5 days in Greece and it worked out really well for me. He was able to drop us off and pick us at at each site and was always nearby if I got too tired to walk anymore.
I know trains are cheaper, cabs are cheaper...but I'm looking at the difference of being able to go at all vs. shelling out more money so that we're able to go.
So it got me thinking about Germany and I did a little looking around. Viatorius Tours - https://www.privategermanytours.com/highlights-of-germany.html - can definitely provide transit around for the tour I've sketched out.
I see some reviews on Tripadvisor but not as much as the Private Greece Tours group we used.
They look like they provide a driver, who acts like a guide as well, but not a driver AND a guide. We specifically only want a knowledgable driver. Guides are just too much info for us as we like to just wander sites on our own.
Any chance any of you know the company?
