Has anyone had any problems either in transportation or huge crowds in Germany within the last few weeks? My friend's daughter is studying in England and would like to visit Munich in the next few weeks. Where would she be able to find information on this topic? She has not been able to get much from BBC news. Any help would be much appreciated.

For news in Germany, try "The Local" or she can also look on ToyTown Germany.

I was in Munich about a week ago and it was business as usual. Honestly, if you hadn't seen the news in the last few months you wouldn't know there were any refugees at all. Travel on!
Agree with Phil - there 2 weeks ago and took trains to Munich and around without any difficulty
We were just in Munich, Berlin and Frankfurt last week. We were in all three train stations, as well as all around all three cities. We experienced absolutely no trouble. The train stations were no busier than any other time we had been there, and we did not notice any refugees. There are always people that are begging - particularly in the train stations. This is in any big city anywhere in the world. Your friend's daughter should be smart and aware of her surroundings, but no different than any other time. She will be fine and won't experience any issues with the refugee situation.
