Any KONUS pass itineraries for the Black Forest?

I'll be based in Gengenbach for three days (thanks to recommendations from here). I'd love to do some hiking, see smaller villages, see a glass workshop... tips for making the best of the pass (and doing without phone/data) would be very welcome. Thank you.

I would highly recommend visiting the Vogtsbauernhof Open Air museum - I spent the afternoon there and loved it. It's outside of Gutach and easily reachable by train using the KONUS pass. You walk through the beautiful surroundings and visit a number of historic and authentic farmhouses. Go to this part of their website before you travel, though, as it has instructions on how to get there by train. It was a very quick train ride, and it stops right across from the entrance (you then go underground and cross the road to get to the museum). https://www.vogtsbauernhof.de/en/visit/how-to-get-here

There are also several restaurants across the road, also, and one at the museum.

Oops, posted too soon. There is also Haslach and Schiltach, which are some charming villages on the Schwarzwald line, and very easy to get too. Here is a link that explains the Black Forest Railroad and the various routes you can take. One route I would recommend is the Kinzig Valley Railway, which is an unelectrified route that goes from Hausach on the Black Forest Railway route up the Kinzig valley past the timbered old town centre of Schiltach to Freudenstadt. https://www.blackforestgermany.com/train.php

Here is a link that will show you various hiking opportunities in the area. Click on the world logo at the top and it will give you the option to translate it if you want. https://www.gengenbach.info/gengenbach-entdecken/aktiv-fit/wandern

Also, here is the KONUS flyer, which shows all the places you can visit using the card. https://www.schwarzwald-tourismus.info/_Resources/Persistent/8929bd408e1d75ebf9d90ab916a69964e9763a6e/KONUS%20Flyer%202023.pdf

We loved our 4 days in Gengenbach 2 wks ago! Hiking we did was from the town itself. Some rain that day. But…Wonderful! Since we had reoccuring rain and storms every day while there…less hiking and instead train to the larger towns with pass. Loved Freiburg more than we thought we would. Walked also in Offenberg which was pleasant. Strasbourg was our final day. Fabulous! Glad the canal boat tours had glass coverings! Every city we needed to run for cover in town cathedrals! They were huge, lovely and inspiring! Rain made us change things up. We tried to get to Colmar but found that trip more complicated. Great area to stay…also through recommendations here! Thank you!
