Are there bus transfer options for getting from Munich airport to Marienplatz area? I’ve done the train and taxi. Looking for other options.

Train didn't work? There is a bus to Munich Hbf, but then you have to get from there to Marienplatz, either by S-Bahn or taxi. If by S-Bahn, you might as well take it from the airport.

I've taken the train before but usually with my husband; this time I'll travel with my older mom and am concerned about getting the suitcases on/off and finding a seat. If I take a bus to Hbf I don't mind taking a taxi to the hotel near Marienplatz.

It's called Lufthansa Express bus and it is running ervery 20 minutes between Munich airport and Munich HBF.
Don't get confused by the name it's open for everyone. Tickets are availably from the bus driver or online.

I would recommend the train over a bus. Getting to the station and out at Marienplatz will certainly be easier than getting to the bus, loading up, then getting on or making your way out to arrivals, getting a taxi, hoping you don't get screwed on price, then still being dropped off outside of Marienplatz, as it is a no vehicle zone. I'm not sure I would want to deal with it. The train, having used it many times, has never been an issue or very crowded.
