After Frankfurt Passport control, meeting fellow travelers, but where?

We will depart our plane and meet my son and his wife who will have already arrived at the Frankfurt airport. After we leave passport control, where could we meet up with them in the airport (outside of security)? As they will have to wait for us, I was wondering about a comfortable spot or restaurant for them? We will then all head to the rental cars together.

There is at least one restaurant in the arrivals hall, after security, that I am familiar with. Near exit 2 (to the pickup drive) I think (maybe 4). When you enter the arrivals hall turn left and keep walking.

There is a Meeting Point in each terminal. In Terminal 1 it is located right in front of Arrival Gate B-1. In Terminal 2, it is right in front of Arrival Gate E.
There are bakeries near by both of these Meeting Points.
If you wanted a restaurant, they are all over the place but on an upper level. Which terminal do you both arrive in? I can be more specific if I know that.

Maybe I made the wrong assumption that Frankfurt was the destination and this isnt meeting up for another flight.

We must be arriving from the states to Terminal 2 and I am guessing that is where Passport control is. Any restaurant that does not require going through security would be great! So perhaps more convenient if found in Terminal 2. Thank you for any suggestions!

If you arrive in Terminal 2, go upstairs where there are several restaurants, all sort of clustered around the huge McDonalds. Those are pretty much the only restaurants there, though there is a cafe right next to the meeting point by Arrival Gate E.

Which airline? Not all flights from the US land land in terminal 2.

One group arrives on Delta/Seattle and the other is arriving on Lufthansa coming from Austin. I like the idea of the restaurants upstairs provided at least one group is coming into Terminal 2. But if you want to suggest options for Terminal 1 that would be great too! Thanks everyone!

I'm pretty sure Delta arrives at T2, and Lufthansa arrives at T1, as do all of the Star Alliance airlines. Who's scheduled to arrive first? Oh, I see. It's the Delta group. So maybe they need to use the SkyLine to get to T1. I think (?) the rental cars are near T1.

If you want to meet in T2, the group from Seattle will have to use the SkyLine shuttle to get to T2. I think (Jo?) that the SkyLine station in T2 is close to the McDonalds.

All concourses at FRA have their own immigration check points, and they are before you get to the meeting points, which are outside security.

Which ever group is arriving first should go to the terminal where the 2nd group is arriving. There are free shuttle buses going between the terminals, as well as the SkyLine. With luggage, the buses may be easier. There are multiple escalators to use if you are going on the SkyLine and if you have a lot of bags, that is a pain.
Follow the signs to either of these options.
There is car rental available in both terminals.
