Adina Hotel Hackescher Markt in Berlin

I read a post about the Adina Hotel but it was more than a year old and comments have been closed. Has anyone stayed there recently? If so, would you still recommend it? We're going in October.
Thanks

I'm staying there in May. I've been checking online reviews for a few months and haven't seen any red flags.

Hopefully you'll get some more responses.

I stayed there for the second time this past November.

The location is great, walkable to quite a bit. There's a Rewe market--newly renovated and much bigger--around the back of the hotel and an Edeka market a few minutes away. Plenty of restaurants and shops.

I stayed in a one bedroom. They are the only units that have in room washers and dryers.

The a/c system was turned off and the heating wasn't great. Also be aware the refrigerators don't have freezers.

My stay for the second time wasn't as good as the first one. They are slowly refurbishing the rooms and I wasn't in one of the new ones. Hopefully, they'll be done by October.

We also booked the Adina Hotel Hackescher Markt for May, 2026. We also booked the Adina Serviced Apartments in Vienna. I have never stayed in them, but the Adina's are good value and have positive reviews.

Funpig, I have stayed in Adina hotels in Vienna, Nuremberg, Berlin (2), Leipzig, Frankfurt and Wiesbaden. Multiple stays in Vienna, Nuremberg, Berlin and Wiesbaden.

Some are good, some are okay. I have not stayed at the Serviced Apartments in Vienna but at their hotel one block away. The staff from the Adina hotel take turns working at the Serviced Apartments. Everyone working at reception speaks English. (Some don't speak German.)

There is a Hofer supermarket (similar to Aldi's) directly across from your apartments. There is also a very large Spar supermarket on the lower level of the train station and a Billa Market also on that level. Two smaller version of these markets--mostly for takeaway foods--on street level.

If you are arriving by train, let me know and I'll tell you a short cut from the train platforms to the apartments.

I've stayed at the Vienna Adina five times so I know the area fairly well. (Total stay about three months.)

Boutique Hotel Lux Eleven is a good alternative with kitchenette at Northwestern corner of Alexanderplatz.

I stayed at the Adina Hackescher Markt last March. It was modern and rather soulless, but clean, comfortable, reasonably priced and the location can't be beat both for things to see within walking distance and via S Hackescher Markt which is about a three minute walk.
There is a Rewe supermarket on the other side of the same building as the Adina so you can easily pick up some snacks/drinks/basic groceries and eat in if you like.
You can also take the S9 to and from S Hackescher Markt and BER with no changes.
I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Adina and their eClub membership are very worthwhile. You get a better price as a member, free cancellation, plus one free gift (e.g. bottle of wine on my chocolates, early check-in or late checkout). And if the price drops, you can modify your booking and lock in the same stay at the lower price. I just saved €40 on the Vienna stay.

We stayed five nights in October. I agree with Kayla.p comments. Good location, clean and we found it as represented in the website. We enjoyed the happy hour at the hotel bar too.

Here's another recommendation for the Adina Hotel Hackescher Markt in Berlin. I was there a little over three years ago so not in the last year, but I can't imagine much has changed. It's very near public transport and if you are flying into or out of Berlin, it's simple to get into town. Just take the S9 (S-Bahn) directly from BER to Hackescher Markt (about a 45 minute ride). There are many good restaurants (including a wonderful Vietnamese restaurant called Eden) nearby along with several wine shops and grocery stores, and it's within a short walking distance from the DDR museum, Berliner Dom and Museum Island.

My room was very comfortable and the staff was pleasant and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.

I stay in a studio about three years ago. It was fine if a little worn but I had a balcony. The bathroom and shower were clean and I was able to buy groceries from the market and cook my own meals which saved money. Plus it’s located near almost everything. As a walker I walked from the Brandenburg Gate to the hotel. Recommend it for a first timer.

I was there a little over three years ago so not in the last year, but I can't imagine much has changed.

One change is the REWE around the back of the hotel. It's been completely renovated. It's now at least twice the size of the previous one. Besides the salad bar that the previous one had there is also a hot food counter with a good selection of cooked takeway foods. Things like chicken, wurst, schnitzel, etc. There are tables so you could also sit in and eat there. The produce section has also at least double if not tripled in size.

The hotel also screened in the balconies so pigeons no longer use them as their personal space.
