I will be arriving a day early in Berlin for my RS tour. It looks like most of the things on the RS Berlin Walk I will be doing on the tour and the following day (less jet leg) I will be going to museum island. Does anyone have any recommendations for things to do when you first arrive?

Visit the Olympic Stadium or Track 17. Will you be going to Sachsenhausen or Ravensbrück Concentration Camp? What about Wannsee Villa?

If its not already sold out, I would book tickets to tour the Reichstag Dome. And then afterwards you could walk through the Tiergarten.

If you are unable to book the Reichstag Dome (you can also try just visiting the roof) and have an interest in art you might want to visit the Gemaldegalerie Museum which concentrates on European painting. As an art historian I would say it's a "must see". The new Kathe Kollwitz Museum in Charlottenburg has a good display on one floor while another is being completed. It's a longer trip if you are staying in Prenzlauer Berg which is where our tour lodged.

We very much enjoyed the Museum Barberini In Pottsdam https://www.museum-barberini.de/en/. It's and easy day trip if you enjoy art.
