Believe I will get on Space Available flight TONIGHT and arrive with no travel plans or accommodations planned. Probably will stay on base first night at the Ramstein Inn but I understand it’s pricey. I’m a solo traveler and would rather be more budget-minded if possible. What other alternatives to AirBnB are there to book something close to base while I get through jet lag and plan my trip? Suggestions?

a quick google maps search turns up at least 30 within a mile or two of the base
wish I could travel with no plans and no research, but those days are over for me

I would ask at the Ramstein Inn, but you will probably get recommendations for where they send Americans when they are full (per diem). You could ask for a local place. Maybe K-Town?

Base lodging hasn’t been inexpensive since most of it was contracted out.
