Accommodations for 3 in Munich

I am bringing my 2 granddaughters to Germany for graduation in May and looking for authentic accommodations in Munich. We will be taking day trips from Munich. What would be the best way to visit the castles near Fusson from Munich?

Don't know what you mean by authentic accommodations. Hotel? B&B? Airbnb? What's your price point? Have a look at booking.com and filter for your preferences. Use their included map to find accommodations near an Sbahn or Ubahn station in central Munich.

To visit Fussen and the castles, either take the train (and then bus to the castles) or rent a car. Don't forget to book your tickets in advance.

The Platzl is in a great location, with a great breakfast, and has rooms that will sleep all of you.

Depending on the age of your granddaughters, they may find a hostel to be fun, in that maybe they could talk to German kids. We stayed at 4you Hostel, near the Hauptbahnhof. They have private rooms, and you can get 2 or 3 beds. The breakfast was fun with a lot of kids from school groups of all ages.

When we went to Fussen to the castles, the line for tickets was long. I wandered around leaving my wife holding our place, and found that the line for all tickets at the Museum of the Bavarian Kings was maybe 3 people long. Instead of waiting 2 hours, we got our tickets in 10 minutes.
