A bit of itin assistance please

Been to Munich many times for work. this time, taking a coworker who has never been-so want to maximize. Thoughts?
Thursday-Arrive Munich-enjoy Munich
Friday-Enjoy Munich
Sat-Train to Rothenburg-stay 1 night in Rothenburg
Sun-Return mid day Munich
Mon-Work
Tues-Work
Wed-Munich
Thurs-Train to Salzburg for 2 nights-ice caves, enjoy area
Fri-Salzburg
Sat-Return to Munich-

I have been to these places, except ice caves, and think this might be enjoyable for colleague. Her wish list is Rothenburg, Ice caves and castle.
Have not figured out castle, as I enjoy a low key travel. Thoughts? Thanks

Nymphenburg ? It's just an S-bahn ride from central Munich.

Nymphenburg isn't a castle , it is the summer palace of the Wittelbach's, the historic ruling family of Bavaria. I understand one of them still lives there, in a wing of the the palace. They'v had to downsize in the last 100 years.

I suppose there is always Neuschwanstein, although it is a lot newer than the Nymphenburg. Looks like a castle and is on just about every German travel poster.

Or take a run up to Nuremburg and visit the Imperial castle.
